For several years, Ammar worked as a researcher and a teacher of applied mathematics and operations research at the Higher National School of Computer Science of Algiers. He was also involved in many research projects within combinatorics while preparing his Ph.D. thesis.
Before joining AWA, Ammar worked as a consultant at Cerence Inc, developing grammars and training machine learning modules for natural language understanding, ultimately building up resources for speech recognition software.
